Independent Aboriginal Delegate - Gippsland Water Board Observership Program

Gippsland Water is offering a development opportunity for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to be an Independent Aboriginal Delegate of the Gippsland Water Board.

If you're interested in taking on a Board Director role in the future, this opportunity is ideal for you. The one-year, part-time role lets the successful applicant join board meetings in a non-voting position. It’s a great way to gain practical, hands-on experience.

You’ll provide an independent perspective on a range of issues, including environmental management and Aboriginal values. Connection to community, a willingness to learn, and the ability to contribute to an effective Board culture is essential. We encourage applicants of all ages to apply.

The role will start in July 2024 and finish in June 2025 with possibility of extension.

We exist to deliver reliable, high-quality water, wastewater and waste recovery services to ensure the economy and liveability of the central Gippsland region.
