Women on Boards (www.womenonboards.net) is a membership organisation that exists to provide information, encouragement and connections to help women and minorities get to the top within their own company or to take on a board role as a non-executive director (NED), trustee or governor.  Launched in the UK in 2012 based on a successful Australian business model, we are breaking down the barriers to entry to the boardroom and building the pipeline of board-ready women.


The Role

We are looking to hire an experienced part-time (2 days per week) Financial Controller to support the management team in maintaining and developing the function and capabilities within this growing organisation.

The successful candidate will provide financial leadership and business acumen. This will include all financial and management accounting, overhead management and provision of management information.

This will be a broad role that requires a hands-on individual, as comfortable handling the preparation of monthly accounts as the provision of commercial business support to the leadership team.

Women on Boards is looking for a qualified accountant.  Someone who is comfortable working within a small team, but a team that is having a real impact.  Sector knowledge is not essential but an interest in and support of the aims of the organisation are important. 
 

KEY Responsibilities

  • Production of management accounts and monthly management information
  • Maintenance of financial accounts (Xero), including VAT and budgeting support
  • Management of incoming and outgoing payments alongside reconciliations
  • Management of bank and other financial accounts
  • Payroll & pension management
  • Management of regulatory compliance including GDPR and PCI DSS


Additional Requirements

Experience of working with Xero (ideally) or other SaaS accounting platform desired.
