Mini-Mentoring

Unsure how to take the next steps in your non-executive career? Or how to get it out of the starting blocks?

 Get on board: mini mentoring package - covid-19 special offer

Unsure how to take the next steps in your non-executive career? Or how to get it out of the starting blocks?

During the Covid-19 pandemic, board recruitment is very much continuing and many of us may find time to reflect on and develop our career progression. Women on Boards has therefore introduced a mini 1-on-1 mentoring package to help you make the most of these opportunities. It has been developed to enable you to address your specific challenges and give you tailored advice and support to move to the next level.

The package includes our signature 1-on-1 Board CV review followed by a mentoring session to help you develop a plan to reach your goals.

Both sessions are delivered virtually, either using a video conferencing app or a phone call, at times of mutual convenience.

What is included:

1-on-1 Board CV Review: find out if your Board CV truly does you justice as a candidate and if it will hit home with recruiters.

Reviewing your draft Board CV, your experienced mentor will discuss with you what is working well and how it could be improved. Ideally, you will produce your initial draft using our ‘Building a Board CV’ online learning course (included in our Full/Corporate Membership).

(1 x 30 minute 1-on-1 sessions, plus prior analysis of your draft Board CV)

One-off mentoring session: an individual session to examine the topic of your choosing, guided by your expert mentor. Some issues which this session could look at include (but aren’t limited to):

  • how and when to get that first board role;
  • making the move to a portfolio career;
  • getting your message across in the boardroom;
  • dealing with boardroom dynamics;
  • taking the next step onto listed boards or into Chair roles.

(One hour 1-on-1 session)
