INSEAD International Directors Programme

The International Directors Programme is INSEADs flagship course in corporate governance and is a unique educational experience that aims to develop effective directors for the global business scene.  Women on Boards is proud to be partnering with INSEAD to promote this 3-module programme, which is offered in both Fontainebleau, France and in Singapore.

Mary Sue Rogers, a WOB member and a NED of WOB Australia is an alumna of the programme and would be happy to speak to anyone who is seriously considering enrolling.  Fiona Hathorn is currently on the Programme and is also happy to talk to members about its content to ensure it is a good 'fit' for you and your board objectives. If you do enrol, please ensure that you mention that you heard about the programme through WOB. To connect with WOB for more information just email fiona.hathorn@womenonboards.co.uk

Mary Sue discusses INSEAD’s partnership with WOB, on this Insead website link, and explains how the programme helped her become a more effective director.

An independent board is a feature that sets investment companies apart from their competitors in the funds world and is one of its greatest assets. However, with the rapid pace of change within financial services, and the current focus on board diversity of all types, it is more important than ever to ensure a strong pipeline of candidates with a range of relevant skills and experience willing to take on non-executive positions.

The seminar is aimed at senior individuals who may be considering a non-executive role at some point over the next few years, but currently have little or no previous experience of the investment company sector and what a non-executive role would involve.

The session will include:
1. An introduction to the investment company sector
2. Key issues facing NEDs
3. Views and experiences from existing NEDs
4. The appointment process
5. Networking drinks
