Networking for NED events are designed for those of you who are serving on one or more boards already and would welcome the opportunity to discuss current governance issues with others in the network, under the Chatham House rule. There is no formal speaker but they will be Chaired by one of our members or Ambassadors.

For this session we will discussing board recruitment, Chair and NED succession planning and themes and trends around this subject. Perhaps you feel your board could do better in this area and would appreciate insight into how others are approaching it? Or perhaps you feel your board is well skilled in this area and you can share best practice with others?

This session offers a chance to discuss the issues to consider when approaching this subject, swap notes on the approaches you are taking and share experiences, both good and bad.

We are delighted that Women on Board's Ambassador, Shefaly Yogendra will be Chairing the main discussion. Shefaly is a Non-Executive Director of JP Morgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust (LSE: JUSC) where she chairs the Remuneration Committee, and of Temple Bar Investment Trust (LSE: TMPL) where she chairs the Nomination and the Management Engagement Committees. She is also an independent Governor of London Metropolitan University where she chairs the Audit Committee and earlier chaired the Governance Committee. Earlier she was the COO and an executive director of Ditto AI.

Shefaly was among the “100 Women to Watch” in the Female FTSE Board Report 2016 and holds a PhD in Political Decision Making from the University of Cambridge. She trained earlier in engineering, management, and technology policy.

Pre-requisites: You are a serving non-executive director or Chair to join this event.

Timing:

5pm - 6pm - topic discussion in roundtable format (virtual, via Zoom)
