Government Owned Corporations

Corporations in which a state government has at least a majority share. South Australia and Victoria traditionally did the heavy lifting when it came to maintaining gender balanced boards, but significant progress has been made in recent year with the introduction of gender targets in Western Australia and Queensland.

2020

All states except NSW have more than 45% female representation on the boards of their Government Owned Corporations (GOCs) or, in the case of Victoria, those entities classified as A1, A2 or A3. NSW has improved 5% to 35%, but remains at least 10% lower than all other states.
