Below please find a summary of the key terms and conditions that relate to your membership of Women on Boards and attendance at programs and events. These are extracted from our full Terms and Conditions, which are shown further below.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
All payments made to WOB Australia Pty Ltd will be in AUD $ and include GST. Payment of the annual membership fee or event and program registrations may be made by direct debit, cheque or credit card (visa, mastercard or AMEX). Credit card payments are secured through SSL encryption.

MEMBERSHIP
When you sign up for a Full, Premium or Champion membership of Women on Boards, you will automatically be renewed every year unless you choose to opt-out. You can opt out of auto-renewal at any time during your Membership term up to the point of expiration by CLICKING HERE. Once you have opted out you will be returned to the manual renewal process which will give you a further 7 day grace period before your membership lapses. If you are having difficulties please contact Member Support at +61 2 4321 0100 or by email at wob-aus@womenonboards.net within two working days of your membership expiring.
If you do not opt out of auto-renewal and/or continue to use your Membership we are authorised to charge you the Fee for that Membership on the credit card you used for the transaction. We may increase the Fee year on year, but we will notify you in advance as set out in clause 8.2 below.
REFUND POLICIES
Membership subscriptions
WOB Australia Pty Ltd does not have a refund policy for membership except in the case of exceptional circumstances, where a refund will be considered upon application.
Auto-renewal - You have 7 days from the date of your auto-renewal payment to request a refund. Your request must be emailed to wob-aus@womenonboards.net and will only be payable if you have not used any member only services within that 7 day period. No refunds will be provided after 7 days.
Workshops / webinars (short courses)
- Refunds for workshops/webinars are available if notice is given by email or telephone up to three business days (72 hours) prior.
- For cancellations less than three business days (72 hours) prior to the workshop, a credit for attendance at another workshop/webinar is provided. Note Covid exception at point 4.
- Cancellations within one business day or less will not receive any refund or credit, however you may substitute an alternate in your place. In the case of exceptional circumstances a refund will be considered. Note Covid exception at point 4.
- For face to face workshops, all cancellations received due to the registrant having Covid or being required to isolate will have the options of receiving a full refund; substituting an alternate or moving to an alternate date.
Programs
- Refunds for Programs are available if notice is given by email or telephone 31 days prior to the advertised start date.
- For cancellations 8-30 working days’ prior to the advertised start date, a refund will be provided if your place can be filled by another paying participants. You may substitute an alternate in your place.
- Cancellations 7 days or less will not receive any refund or credit (unless the place can be backfilled by someone on a waiting list). You may substitute an alternate in your place. In the case of exceptional circumstances a refund will be considered.
- For face to face sessions within Programs, if the registrant has Covid or is required to isolate, they will have the option of joining the face to face session virtually and will receive a copy of the recording.
Networking Events
- If notice is given by email or telephone up to three business days (72 hours) prior to the event a refund or credit will be provided.
- For cancellations less than three business days (72 hours) prior to the event an alternate may be substituted. In the case of exceptional circumstances a refund will be considered.
On Demand Learning
No refunds are available for online / on demand learning products / modules purchased once the purchase has been made and login details allocated.
Pay Later
If PAY LATER is selected at the time of purchase, payment is strictly required within 48 hours. Your place will be forfeited if payment if not received within this time. All cancellation policies apply on the basis that the purchase was made on the date that PAY LATER was selected.

Full Terms and Conditions
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 In these Terms, the following expressions have the following meanings:
Account: your account with Women on Boards at www.womenonboards.net
Event: an event, such as a networking event, program, conference, masterclass, mentoring or workshop;
Fee: the sums payable for certain Services, including Membership, attending an Event and certain Post a Board Position Service options;
Materials: all materials provided to you or accessed by you under the Services;
Member: an individual who has registered with WOB on the Website; and an individual who accesses WOB through a corporate membership and Membership is construed accordingly;
Post a Board Position Service: the paid service options provided to Members for a Fee in respect of a board vacancy more particularly described here
Registration Form: a form to be completed to become a Member of WOB or to register to attend an Event;
Services: the services provided by us, including content access, consultancy services, the Vacancy Board, Post a Board Position Service and Events;
Terms: these terms and conditions;
Vacancy: the vacant position at the Member’s organisation;
Vacancy Board: the list of vacancies on the Website posted by Members accessible to WOB paid for subscriber Members;
Website: the website located at www.womenonboards.net;
WOB we, our, us: WOB Australia Pty Ltd a company registered in Australia ABN 72 135 991 810 and registered office at Shop 6, 107 - 109 Mann Street, Gosford NSW 2250.
You: any user of the Website or a Service, including a Member.
1.2. When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these Terms, this will include email unless we say otherwise.
1.3 Including means including but not limited to.
1.4. A reference to a statute or statutory provision is a reference to it as it is in force for the time being, taking account of any amendment, extension or re-enactment and includes any subordinate legislation for the time being in force made under it.
2. OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU
2.1. These are the Terms on which you can access and use our Website and our Services.
2.2. You must register to attend an Event and/or to post a vacancy on the Vacancy Board. Basic Membership of WOB is free. However, you must pay a Fee to become a Full Member, Premium Member or a Champion to access certain further Services as set out here. The Fee provides for 12 months of Membership, your Membership renews automatically and the Fee is therefore due every 12 months. Please see Clause 8 below for further details, including how to cancel autorenewal.
2.3. Please ensure that you have read these Terms carefully and check that the details on the Registration Forms are complete and accurate before you submit them. If you think that there is a mistake, please contact us.
2.4. These Terms, our Privacy Policy and any Registration Form constitute the whole agreement between us. If there is any conflict between these documents, the following order of precedence shall prevail: these Terms, our privacy policy, the Registration Form.

3. CHANGES TO TERMS
3.1. We may revise these Terms from time to time at our discretion for technical or legal reasons, or because the needs of our business have changed.
4. ACCESSING THE WEBSITE
4.1. We will use reasonable endeavours to make the Website available to you at all times. However, there may be occasions when access to the Website may be interrupted, including for scheduled maintenance or upgrades, for emergency repairs, or due to failure of telecommunications links and/or equipment.
4.2. You should treat your log-in details as confidential, and you must not share them with any third party. We have the right to disable any log-in details, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms.
4.3. You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Website.
4.4. We accept no responsibility for adverts contained within the Website. If you agree to purchase products and/or services from any third party who advertises in the Website, you do so at your own risk. The advertiser, and not us, is responsible for such products and/or services and if you have any questions or complaints in relation to them, you should contact the advertiser.
4.5. The Website may contain links to websites or apps operated by third parties. We do not have any influence or control over any such third party websites or apps and we are not responsible for and do not endorse any third party websites or apps or their availability or content.
5. UPLOADING MATERIAL TO THE WEBSITE
5.1. Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload material to our Website, including the Vacancy Board, creating profiles, or to make contact with other Members of WOB, you must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
5.2. Any material you upload to the Website will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we have the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such material for any purpose. We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you breaches their intellectual property rights, or their right to privacy.
5.3. We are not responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any materials posted by any other user of our Website.
5.4. We do not monitor all postings to the Website, but we have the right to remove any material or posting you make on our Website for any reason, including if in our opinion, such material does not comply with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
5.5. You must not misuse our Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our Website, the server on which our Website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our Website. You must not attack our Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. If you breach this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (as amended). We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our Website will cease immediately.
6. LINKING TO OUR WEBSITE
6.1. You may link to the home page of our Website, provided you do so in a way that is fair and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
6.2. You must not establish a link from any website that is not owned by you.
6.3. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. The website from which you are linking must comply in all respects with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. FEE
7.1. The Fee may change at any time, but any changes will not affect Services that have already been paid for.
7.2. The Fee stated on the Registration Form or elsewhere on the Website includes GST. If the rate of GST changes then this change in GST will be reflected in any Fee payable upon renewal of your Membership of WOB.
7.3. Access to certain Services will take effect only when we have received the Fee due in full. If you do not pay the Fee by the due date, we may claim costs and interests on such; or suspend your Membership, including your entitlement to enjoy the benefit of the Services, with immediate effect until you have paid any outstanding amounts.
7.4. If you select the Pay Later option on the Registration Form when registering for an Event, you must provide payment within 48 hours of submitting the Registration Form, or on the day of the WOB Event, whichever is earlier. You shall not be entitled to attend an Event unless and until you have paid the applicable Fee in full.
7.5. The Fee for Post a Board Position Service is due in full, in advance and is non-refundable.
8. MEMBERSHIP
8.1. Full Members, Premium Members and Champions’ access to the Services automatically renews annually, and the Fee is automatically debited from the credit card you used to transact the membership payment (which occurs via our payment platform, Braintree). We may increase the Fee year on year, but we will notify you in advance as set out in clause 8.2 below.
8.2. We will email you 14 days and again 2 days prior to the renewal date advising you that your membership is about to auto-renew. If you wish to cancel your auto renewal at any time, you can do so at any time during your Membership term up to the point of expiration. Once you have opted out you will be returned to the manual renewal process which will give you a further 7 day grace period before your membership lapses. If you do not opt out of auto-renewal and/or continue to use your Membership we are authorised to charge you the Fee for that Membership.
8.3. If you opt out of auto-renewal or terminate your Account at any time during your Membership, you may continue to use the Services that are part of your Membership until the end of the then-current period of your Membership. You will not be eligible for a pro-rated refund of any portion of the Membership Fee paid for the then-current Membership period. If you choose not to renew after the date your Membership expires, you will automatically downgrade to Basic Member. If you want to cancel your Basic Membership or delete your account completely please CLICK HERE or contact Member Support at +61 2 4321 0100 or email us at wob-aus@womenonboards.net.
8.4. We may immediately terminate or suspend your account, and all or a portion of your Membership (including Basic Membership),without notice if:
(a). your payment of the Fee is overdue (provided that we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of the overdue payment before we terminate or suspend);
(b). you provide false or inaccurate information;
(c). you violate these Terms or any other applicable terms;
(d). you engage in conduct that is a violation of any applicable law (including, without limitation, copyright and intellectual property laws); or
(e). if you engage in conduct that is threatening, abusive or harassing to Women on Boards ‘employees, agents, or other Women on Boards' users.
8.5. If we terminate or suspend your Membership, your licence to use any products or content provided in connection with the Membership is also terminated or suspended (as applicable). If your Membership is terminated, we have the right to immediately delete all data, files, and other information stored in or for your account without further notice to you. You must pay all charges up to and including the date of termination and no refund of all or part of the Fee is due.
8.6. Any agreement you have with your payment provider governs your use of your specified payment method.
9. EVENTS
9.1. When attending an Event, you shall comply with all security, health and safety and all other instructions relating to the venue where the Event is being held and you shall not record or photograph all or part of the Event without our consent.
9.2. You agree that for reasons outside of our control, the date and/or time of the WOB Event and/or the location of the Event may need to be changed. In such circumstances, we shall notify you with the new date, time and/or location as the case may be.
9.3. If we are unable to re-schedule an Event, we shall refund you the Fee.
10. VACANCY BOARD
10.1 The Vacancy Board is provided for information purposes only. We do not seek to introduce work-seekers to recruiters and/or hirers or vice versa, in respect of any specific vacancy or otherwise. We do not act as an employment agency and/or an employment business for the purposes of the Vacancy Board.
10.2. We may contact Members with information about postings on the Vacancy Board from time to time. If you do not wish to receive such information, please update your communication preferences.
10.3. Where a vacancy is listed on our Vacancy Board we will provide contact details for the recruiter or hirer who has issued the advertisement and you should contact the recruiter or hirer directly for any further information on the role.
10.4. From time to time we may agree to assist an organisation seeking a candidate for a particular role. In such circumstances, we shall contact our Members who may be suitable for the role, and ask if they would like us to pass their details on to the organisation. We will provide a Member’s contact details to the organisation only if they agree that we may do so.
10.5. Any information provided by us is provided free of any representations by us as to the suitability of a candidate for a role or the suitability of a role for a particular candidate.
10.6. Post a Board Position Paid Service
10.6.1. Any registered Member can purchase the paid Post a Board Position Service at any time. Once the Fee has been paid, we shall review the content you provide to us for the position that is to be the subject of the Post a Board Position Service. We may ask you for further information about the position and your business generally. When we are reasonably satisfied that the position contains all appropriate information, we shall upload the position to the Vacancy Board and we shall begin to provide the Post a Board Position Service.
10.6.2. As part of the paid Post a Board Position Service, we contact Members with information about positions that we think might interest them. If you do not wish to receive such information, please contact us at wob-aus@womenonboards.net. If a Member we have contacted agrees that they would like to be considered for the position we shall either encourage the Member to contact the position poster, or we shall share Member details as appropriate.
10.6.3. Whilst we shall act with reasonable skill and care in providing the Post a Board Position Service, Members accept that we cannot and do not warrant that we will find a suitable Member for each position and/or that any Member referred will be suitable for a position.
10.6.4. On receipt of the contact details of another Member, you shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the processing of personal data. Without prejudice to this obligation, you shall treat all personal data and other information relating to another Member as confidential and keep all such information secure, and not share such data with any third party, or use such data for any purpose except to consider the Member’s suitability for the position.
10.6.5. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, you shall satisfy yourself as to the suitability of any Member for a position. All normal, prudent checks should be carried out including identity checks, checking qualifications and experience.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
11.1. We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Materials.
11.2. We grant to you the right to use and review the Materials for your own personal use. If your Membership is part of a corporate Membership, you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to the Materials.
11.3. You must not modify the Materials in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of Material must always be acknowledged.
11.4. If you wish to make any use of Material other than that set out above, please address your request to wob-aus@womenonboards.net.
12. OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
12.1. You acknowledge and agree that the Materials are provided for information only and do not constitute advice or recommendation by WOB. We do not warrant or represent that any result or objective shall be achieved, be achievable or be attained whatsoever by use of the Website, including the Vacancy Board.
12.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law (a) WOB disclaims all liability whatsoever, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) under statute or otherwise in relation to the Website, the Services and the Materials; and (b) all implied warranties, terms and conditions relating to the Website, the Services and the Materials (whether implied by statute, common law or otherwise), including any warranty, term or condition as to accuracy, completeness, reliability, satisfactory quality, performance, fitness for purpose, availability and non-infringement are excluded.
12.3. We shall have no liability in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute or otherwise, as a result of or in connection with the Website, the Services and/or the Materials for any indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user including but not limited to (a) loss of income or revenue; (b) loss of business; (c) loss of profits or contracts; (d) loss of anticipated savings; (e) loss of data; (f) loss of goodwill; and/or (g) wasted management or office time.
12.4. If, notwithstanding provision of this Clause 21, we are liable to you whether in contract, tort (including negligence and breach of statutory duty) or otherwise, our maximum liability shall not exceed the Fees paid by you during the previous 12 months for the Service that is the subject of the claim.
12.5. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and/or (c) any other loss that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. YOUR CANCELLATION RIGHTS
13.1. We do not have a refund policy for Members, including the Fee for Post a Board Position Service, except in the case of exceptional circumstances. However we will consider any request for a refund of the Fee for a Member if you write to us, setting out the reasons why you believe you are entitled to a refund. Our aim is to always treat people fairly.
13.2. If you give us written notice under Clause 13.1, we may refund any Fee paid (or part thereof) by you if, in our opinion and at our sole discretion, exceptional circumstances apply.
13.3. If you wish to cancel your attendance at an Event, you must contact us by email or telephone and the following policy will apply to:
(a) Workshops / webinars (short courses) - Refunds for workshops/webinars are available if notice is given by email or telephone up to three business days (72 hours) prior. For cancellations less than three business days (72 hours) prior to the workshop, a credit for attendance at another workshop/webinar is provided. 14. INFORMATION ABOUT US AND HOW TO CONTACT US

14.2. If we have to contact you or give you notice in writing, we will do so by email, by hand, or by pre-paid post to the address you provide to us.
15. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS
15.1. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, and we will use reasonable endeavours to notify you in writing if this happens, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Terms.
15.2. You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these Terms to another person if we agree in writing.
15.3. This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
15.4. Each of the Clauses of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of the Clauses are unlawful, the remaining Clauses will remain in full force and effect.
15.5. If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these Terms, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.
15.6. These Terms are governed by Australian law. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
