A number of studies have found that having a diverse Board can also bring about better organisational performance – both financial and non-financial. Diversity makes for better governance – and better governance inevitably means better results.
People with disabilities are great for Boards — they bring knowledge about how to make services, organisations and communities accessible to everyone.
In this webcast, Nadia Moffatt and Roberta Wright talk about their challenges and how Boards can be more inclusive of people with disabilities.

Nadia is a highly experienced and qualified non-executive director, chair and committee member with over twenty years’ experience in business, government and the not for profit sectors across Australia in corporate, telecommunications, health and community services.
Nadia’s tertiary background is in Economics and accounting, these studies have been enhanced by formal qualifications as a company director. Nadia’s global insight into social innovation through research and policy was developed by attending an - European Forum for Studies of Policies for Research and Innovation in Helsinki (Eu-SPRI).
Experienced project lead on business development, tenders and internal compliance in government and private health sectors in the United Kingdom and Australia. Roberta has reported at director, CEO and board level. She has strong skills in stakeholder management, discretion and privacy laws. Roberta has worked with complex health and social care organisations, including addiction support services, mental health trusts, veterans and prisons. She has excellent outcomes in delicate and difficult situations, underpinned by training with expertise in project management, ICT, and human resources. Roberta is known to be inclusive and collaborative with all staff and stakeholders. Roberta is seeking to apply knowledge and experience to the boards of organisations in the areas of mental health, substance misuse, criminal justice system, children in care and the disability sector.
