Women on Boards is pleased to donate $2250 to help flood victims in Australia.

Every year WOB calls on the time, expertise and knowledge of people within our network who generously share their time to speak at and attend WOB events and workshops.

In appreciation, WOB has donated $75 to the Red Cross Australia’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund on behalf of the 30 presenter partners who freely gave their time to support WOB members in 2022. The donated total comes to $2250.

“We are very thankful for the time, expertise and knowledge that everyone has so generously shared with the WOB network. While opportunities to connect in person have been limited, we have sought to enrich our members' knowledge with virtual panels and presentations. These people have contributed to this effort, for which we are very grateful,” said WOB Executive Director, Claire Braund.

“Women on Boards relies on these people to make our events a stand out and give our members access to people’s real experiences, so we thank everyone for your support.”

The Red Cross Disaster Response and Recovery Fund powers the work of the Red Cross emergency teams, responding to bushfire, flood, cyclone and other emergencies.

Red Cross teams are currently on the ground helping people impacted by the NSW floods. They’re in evacuation centres providing psychological first aid, helping people contact loved ones, and connecting people with support services.
