How could you be a more culturally competent and culturally humble leader? Join executive coach Simeon Boseley as he explains why leaders developing cultural competence and building cultural humility should be a crucial part of their growth and team development strategy.

Simeon is the guest speaker at our WOBChat event on 13 July, where he will be talking about why cultural competence and humility are essential leadership attributes.

"Cultural competence is about having the right skills, knowledge, experience, and desire to work effectively with culturally diverse people," he says.

"Although an admirable goal, being a culturally competent leader is just the start point. Consider, for example, the primary categories of difference like race, gender, social class, sexual orientation, and physical ability."

In the session he look at the difference between cultural competency and cultural humility and look at how we, as individuals and as organisations, can get started.

"For leaders at all levels developing cultural competence and building cultural humility should be a crucial part of their individual growth and team development strategy."
