With data analytics, machine learning and generative AI now an integral part of running a business, how an organisation manages the data it uses, alters and shares is crucial to its long-term viability.
An effective data governance framework is critical in protecting an organisation from potentially catastrophic internal and external threats and ensures a responsible, legally compliant and efficient use of data assets.
This year’s PKF Data Governance Survey will give important insights into how companies and organisations are managing complex decision-making about their data — and The Governance Institute wants to hear from you.
The organisation is keen to hear your thoughts on data governance — the challenges in keeping pace with technological advances, reporting to the board, protecting assets and maintaining the trust of stakeholders.
The survey will take approximately seven minutes to complete, is anonymous, and closes at 5 pm AEDT, Wednesday, 23 August 2023. You can complete the survey via the following link.

Governance Institute strongly advocates for good governance around data collection and believes every boardroom should discuss what frameworks are in place and believes that data should be treated as an asset and that it’s important to look at how data is managed across the entire organisation.
The frameworks that define data governance will vary among organisations. It will depend on what type of business you have, the sector you’re in, the size of the organisation and the type of data collected.
