Women on Boards congratulates long-term members Brownyn Evans AM,  Leanne Heywood AM and Frances Adamson AC
Leanne Heywood is a long time member and friend of Women on Boards and we could not be more delighted for Leanne being awarded an AO for her "service to business through a range of organisations".  Leanne has put in the hard yards and deserves every success.

A long time WOB member, Leanne completed the WOBSX program, our director-led, peer support program to assist women achieve ASX Board roles.  And in March 2019, Leanne did just that — she built a portfolio career as a NED on ASX boards. That’s not to say she hasn’t had her fair share of turndowns! She’s learnt to bounce back and greet feedback with a strategic eye, because nothing is personal.

Bronwyn Evans received an AM for “significant service to engineering, to standards and to medical technology”. An electrical engineer by training, Dr Evans’s career has spanned corporate and not-for-profit roles at the forefront of engineering in Australia and globally, including as CEO of Standards Australia and senior executive roles at Cochlear Ltd and GE Healthcare.

Frances Adamson received an AC in the 2021 Birthday Honours list.  A most worthy recipient.  An AC – Companion of the Order of Australia is the highest award for service.
Frances Adamson AC is a worthy recipient. Her stellar DFAT career involved Ambassador to China and then she was appointed by Malcolm Turnbull as the first female Secretary of DFAT.

WOB has worked directly with Frances - on a number of occassions WOB Chair Ruth Medd has shared a roundtable or an event where Frances’ presence has been influential.

On a personal note, Ruth's daughter Sarah was in the same year at ANU with one of Frances’ four children.
Frances has done it all.  Best wishes in her next role as Governor of SA, her home soil.
