On the topic of the gender pay gap, we are delighted that Executive Director of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency
, Libby Lyons (pictured top right)
, will be joining us for WOBChat on 2 September
. Libby came to the WGEA in 2015 after a successful career in corporate and government affairs at BHP (Olympic Dam) and other major corporations.
On a personal level, she was born in Tasmania, is the grand-daughter of Dame Enid Lyons, the first Australian women elected to the House of Representatives and the Cabinet, and has worked, lived and loved in remote areas around Australia and overseas. The Australian Women's Weekly ran a story
on Libby in 2019, which provides some lovely insights into her passion for justice and equity.
