Margaret Jackson syndicate is fully subscribed

The sixth syndicate in the WOBSX director-led peer mentoring program for women seeking ASX roles, is officially underway.

Led by independent non-executive director and senior Melbourne based lawyer, David Rennick, the syndicate was fully subscribed and will meet exclusively online until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

WOBSX Program Director, Dan Liszka, said this was clearly a case of WOB members making the best of the current circumstances by continuing to focus and work hard to increase and share their knowledge and networks in their bid for ASX board roles.

“WOBSX Participants are showing by their actions that they are the kind of Directors you want on your Board – skilled, agile, adaptable and ready to face the unpredictable circumstances we find ourselves working in,” Dan said.

The syndicate is named after leading Australia corporate executive, Margaret Jackson AC , who was the first woman to become chair of a top-50 publicly listed company in Australia (Qantas) and the first woman on the board of BHP Billiton in 108 years of the miner’s history. She was also Chair of Spotless Group & Flexigroup and served on a string of boards including Pacific Dunlop, Billabong and ANZ. A successful investor herself, Margaret champions Scale, an angel investor network to connect women investors with women led businesses.
