Sandy Verschoor is the first female to hold the positions of Lord Mayor, Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor, and General Manager with the City of Adelaide.
Elected as Lord Mayor of Adelaide from 2018-2022, she was the City’s third female Lord Mayor and the first in almost 20 years. Sandy was elected City of Adelaide Area Councillor in 2015 and served as Deputy Lord Mayor 2017-2018.
Her career spans public and private enterprise, not-for-profits, and local and state government, including three years as General Manager City Culture and Community Services for the City of Adelaide (2012-2015). Sandy has developed and delivered some of the most significant cultural events for the State during her time as CEO for the Adelaide Fringe and the Adelaide Festival, and in 2018 produced the Adelaide Festival of Ideas.

Wendy has been a member of WOB for the last 15 years. Over the last 5 years, she has taken on the role of the SA representative of WOB. She is a staunch advocate of women their contribution to industry and the community.
In addition to her WOB leadership, Wendy works as a consultant in the area of public speaking and executive presence, in her company “What’s the Stuff? She also works as an academic lecturing international students at master’s level in the areas of leadership, emotional and cultural intelligence, strategy, and operations.
Wendy is currently a Non-Executive Director on the Road Safety Education Board. Her previous board-related appoints include being chair of the Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre the Education Standard Board SA and the Australian National Council and the Uniting care Wesley Board Inc. Wendy is also a winner of the SA Telstra Business Woman of the Year, Community Section, Award.
