WOB members and their guests are invited to our WOBMeet Christmas Extravanga in Perth. A supportive and professional networking event where you can share the highs and lows of 2019 and look forward to 2020.

More about this event

WOBMeet Perth is an opportunity for our members to connect within WOB, share knowledge and information and practice their all important 'elevator pitch.' The atmosphere is informal, relaxed and supportive.

Twice a year - including at Christmas time - we open the event to members guests and those who are new to WOB. This is a great opportunity for our members to bring a friend / colleague and for those who are new to WOB to be introduced to our terrific network.

So this Christmas, give yourself or a woman you know an early gift and bring them along to WOBMeet at 77 Social, Perth.

Price includes one drink on arrival + light finger food. Following your first drink, drinks available at bar prices.

Our guest will be Dr Jennifer de Vries; an organisational consultant, public speaker, facilitator, researcher and writer. She specialises in gender strategy, leadership development, mentoring and sponsorship and travels globally advising clients across different industries. You can read more about her on her website www.jendevries.com.

Jen is committed to assisting organisations to build more gender equitable, diverse, inclusive and innovative organisations. I’ve asked her to talk about the benefit of finding a sponsor, how to seek one out and build a relationship that works for both parties. We’ll explore the importance of building networks where you both give and receive sponsorship. We will also find out what workplaces could do to identify and makes sponsors available to their staff which could be a discussion you could have with your workplace.

Jen has a Bachelor of Psychology, Master of Management Research and a PhD in Gender and Organisational Change from University of Western Australia. Her latest publication ‘Sponsorship: Creating Opportunities for Women in Higher Education” can be accessed here: http://jendevries.com/publications/
