"I must say that the introductory evening was quite an eye opener! Claire's presentation was refreshingly motivating, and I was energised by her passionate commitment to be of support to other women and help push the boundaries of what seems impossible. I will see you again at another WOB event soon!"

Boards and committees for the younger director

You may be wondering if boards and committees are applicable to the younger woman.

WOB has always maintained that there is a 'board for everyone' and many women are surprised to hear how many boards are open to younger people. Some boards even have policies requiring a certain percentage to be under 30 or 40 - it all depends on their focus and the members / stakeholders the organisation is serving.

Why not learn more at this special networking event from the Women on Boards founders and guest speaker. It’s a fabulous opportunity to learn what WOB does and how you can be assisted in your career journey, not to mention the opportunity to meet like-minded women across varied organisations and sectors.

Women on Board subscribers are welcome to bring their daughter, colleague or a guest for free.

Leadership in Focus: Networking Event

(offered face to face in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth  in November each year)

A special one-off event where members of the syndicates from our Next Generation of Female Leaders program share what they learnt from interviewing Australia's leading CEOs and company directors.

Next Gen is a high level learning and development program for women in key management or executive roles. It increases the visibility of high potential women within their organisations and industries and provides them with the confidence and capacity to successfully engage with senior leadership and boards.
A key aspect of the program is 'Project Getting Ahead' which requires participants to work in syndicates to interview a minimum of two leaders from any sector and work this into their presentation at the end of the program. The insights gained are invaluable and make for a great and interactive event.

Sheena Wilson, WOB Mentor and Syndicate Advisor discuss her role as Syndicate Advisor within the Next Gen program.
