Directors at a Distance
Directors at a distance is the webinar version of our popular Getting Started: Realising your board potential workshop. It is run over two 1.5 hour lunchtime sessions. Want to become an NED or trustee but not sure how to get started? Looking for a more strategic board role, perhaps in a new sector? Then this is the workshop for you.
If you are interested but cannot make the webinar times then don't worry, they are all recorded. All registered participants will be sent a link to the recording after the event. Additionally, if you want access to the recording right now, please register for the next Directors @ Distance webinar and then contact us via email@example.com asking for access to the recording of the last two sessions.
Suited to people:
- Those thinking about board roles for the first time and seeking strategic and practical advice on accessing these positions
- Those who already have trustee or NED experience and who are now targeting higher level boards, perhaps in a different sector.
- Women seeking to develop their career resilience - for example around career breaks
"WOB UK's webinar helped me enormously. It made me think about the boards I might want to join, my board value-add, how to write a NED CV (to ensure that my board persona came across), and articulate the role of the board succinctly. Interestingly I had just been asked at short notice for an interview to pitch for a position within an international company. I had little time to really prepare but listening to others' elevator pitches on the webinar was all I needed to ensure I presented myself at my best. Thank you WOB!". WOB Information webinar
Want to know how WOB can help you and can't make it to an evening Information event? We are now running a 1-hour lunchtime webinar version of our information and networking evenings. This event will explain how we source vacancies, how we help you with your board CV (very different from an executive CV) and how we use the power of the WOB network to connect you with other members with relevant experience when you get an interview for a board role.
Financial Literacy for the Boardroom
Being able to understand the financial accounts of an organisation is an essential skill for board members. We are now offering a 1-hour lunchtime webinar of our popular evening event. This fast paced tour through key elements of the accounts has been specifically designed for Women on Boards and will be run by a PwC Director from their Accounting Consulting Services team.
