FTSE NED Breakfast

This series of events is designed for FTSE NEDs and Private Sector NEDs who are working, or have worked, at Senior Executive level in FTSE or FTSE-equivalent organisations.

We are delighted that a number of leading head hunters, including Spencer Stuart, Norman Broadbent, Zygos Partnership, Warren Partners, Korn Ferry, Odgers Berndtson, Miles Partnership, MWM Consulting, Sapphire Partners, Heidrick and Struggles and Berwick Partners have offered to support and attend these events in the past.

These breakfast boardroom conversations are a great way for you to listen to stories of top NEDs, understand the issues they have faced and to make high level connections with other individuals and top level Head Hunters and Consultants who work in the NED space.

To get a feel for these events click on one of these two links to see the top tips from two of our previous NED speakers, Jan Babiak and Paul Drechsler CBE

For this Breakfast we have two speakers; Rachel Rhodes and Emma Bendon.

Rachel-Rhodes-(1).jpg

Rachel is NED on the board of Anglo Pacific Group. She is  a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in the mining sector, working with Anglo American PLC and as CFO of London Mining PLC. She has extensive background in raising significant project and corporate finance and in negotiating mining licences and fiscal platforms, especially in West Africa.

Rachel is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Alufer Mining Limited and a Non Executive Director of Anglo Pacific Group PLC, where she is Chair of the Audit Committee.

In addition to being on the board of Anglo Pacific Group PLC, Rachel is also a Trustee and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee of InKind Direct, a Prince of Wales Charity. InKind Direct redistributes products from companies to charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations.

Rachel will sharing with the group her experiences of being a new FTSE level NED, discussing how she balances a fulltime executive role alongside her NED positions.

Emma is a partner in Bendon Lee. Emma has over 35 years of corporate and city experience. Her organisation focuses on the institutional investment community and assists boards in navigating the pressures, and regulatory obligations, of running a listed company. Emma will be talking to the group about how best to interact with institutional investors, and her Board/Investor training courses.

With thanks to our event host,
