Selection criteria for fee paying applicants

Fee paying applicants are expected to meet the following selection criteria:
  • Female occupying a key management or executive role (or equivalent) and/or identified as, or with aspirations to be, a leader within their organisation or professional sector.
  • Have career leadership aspirations.
  • Ability to financially support participation either from an employer or personally.
  • Able to attend three two-day sessions in Sydney, NSW and to commit to external work for the project exercise.
  • Able to outline how they will benefit from the program.

Selection criteria for scholarship applicants

Women on Boards is offering two scholarship places to this program to females who meet the following criteria:
  • Working in a key management or executive role (or equivalent) for a State or Federal Government Department OR employed in a key management or executive role for a Not-for-Profit enterprise.
  • Have career leadership aspirations.
  • Able to attend three two-day sessions in Sydney, NSW, and to commit to external work for the project exercise.
  • Able to outline how they will benefit from the program.
Scholarship applicants must be able to:
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Demonstrate further career leadership aspirations.
  • Clearly articulate the perceived benefits to be derived from the program
  • Be able to attend three two-day sessions in Sydney, NSW, and to commit to external work for the project exercise.
  • Pay own or secure funding for travel costs (these are not included in the scholarship).
Scholarship applicants please note:
  • Preference is given to women residing in non-metropolitan areas.
  • Directors serving on the boards of a public sector entity or a Not-for-Profit are not eligible to apply.
  • Women employed by State based Government Business Enterprises or Government Owned Corporations are not eligible to apply.
  • You cannot apply in two categories.

How to apply 

  1. Complete a covering letter addressing the selection criteria and outlining:
    • Why you should be considered for the program
    • Your leadership aspirations
    • How you would benefit from and apply the program.
  2. Complete your WOB profile online* & attach a PDF with your application letter / OR attach a short two-page CV. 
  3. Register and pay the $44.00 application fee. (NB: Register for either the scholarship OR a full fee-paying position - you are not able to register for both).                                        
  4. Email your covering letter and WOB profile/ or short CV to angela@womenonboards.org.au by 31st January 2017.

* Only WOB Subscribed members have access to complete their online profile. Non members can complete a short two-page CV. ‚Äč
