WOB invites you to Parliament House NT to a gala event celebrating women in the top end. The event, Women on Boards in the Top End, is being held in partnership with BPW Darwin and the Northern Territory Government to highlight the commitment to increasing the number of women in leadership positions and on boards.

This event is free to attend, however please register early to avoid disappointment. Registrations close 23rd June.

Speakers & Panel members 

Claire Braund - WOB Executive Director

Claire is a social entrepreneur who co-founded Women on Boards in 2006 and has been at the helm of the company ever since, growing it to 22,000 women across Australia from its head office in Gosford on the Central Coast. Claire sits on the boards of both Women on Boards and its sister company in the United Kingdom, which she co-founded with Australian and British colleagues in 2012. She also serves on the board of the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, which is the third largest in NSW, and The Women’s Club in Sydney. Claire is a graduate of the Sydney Leadership Program and a Churchill Fellow.

Suzanne Morgan - Director Domestic Marketing at Tourism NT

Suzanne has served as a director of the Automobile Association NT for five years and has just stepped down as a  Board Member of Darwin Waterfront Corporation. Her Board experience has often been a result of her portfolio of responsibilities at Tourism NT, where she is currently the Director of Domestic Marketing, as well a concerted effort to develop skills in strategic leadership. 

Suzanne leads activities to grow tourism to the NT, driving the use of market research and new technology enabling a smarter, more targeted approach to consumer marketing and growing the visitor economy. She has a passion for developing business excellence and sustainable commercial opportunity and has been a judge with Tourism Brolga Awards, Telstra Women's Business Awards and held senior positions with Tourism NT in Industry Development, Business Events, International Operations and Domestic Tourism Marketing. She has extensive experience in negotiation and contract management, including establishing cooperative aviation MOU’s, sponsorship agreements and representation and creative agency agreements.

MC - Angela Tomazos

Angela is President of Business Professionals Women's club of Darwin and Board Member of Casuarina Senior College. 

Angela has 25 years experience in banking and finance, specifically in the fields of Business and Corporate Banking within Darwin, Northern Territory. She has held Relationship Management roles within Darwin that has provided her with significant banking and relationship experience, particularly within the services to Construction, business and professional services industries and Property Investors.
